Former Plymouth College pupil, Christine Daniel, 22, returned to school to give some useful tips to pupils on how to recognise and deal with stress.
Christine, who studied Criminology and Forensic Science at Kingston University, is currently working as a volunteer with the Metropolitan Police. She spoke to Years 10 and 11 about her own experiences of stress during key exam periods and said how talking to teachers about what she was going through really helped.
Christine's visit coincided with the launch of a new confidential listening service. Pupils can make an appointment to talk to the School Listener in the Quiet Room about any concerns or worries they might have.
"Most young people will experience some level of stress when taking exams", said Christine. "Having been through it myself I was really keen to come back and share some ideas. It's important that they know that they're not alone and that there are lots of people they can turn to for help."
