Year 6 pupils who didn't go on the French trip had an exciting day on Dartmoor just before half term. Mr Cottrell, Mrs Ryan and Sophie the gap student took the Plymouth College Preparatory School pupils to Walreddon just outside Tavistock and spent the day doing camp craft such as building shelters, cooking, making fires and basic map reading.
The group also went on a treasure hunt walk along the River Tavy to Double Waters, where it meets the River Walkham. The group was divided into two teams: 'Sophie's Gunners' and 'Ryan's Rangers'. Points were awarded throughout the day and added to the scores for finding objects on the treasure hunt.
"We were very lucky with the weather", said Mr Cottrell. "Everyone had a great day."
