Just over a month since taking the British U14 Girls' Epeé title, Plymouth College star fencer, Tia Simms Lymn, 13, has been crowned England U13 Epeé Champion. She beat 35 girls at the event in Hatfield, winning a very convincing 10-1 in the final. Tia took silver in the U13 Foil event.
Her success in both competitions will see her fence for the U15 England team in multi-nation events in Paris in February (Foil) and Poland in March (Epeé).
"Tia is an incredibly talented athlete", said Plymouth College Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill. "Not only is she a national champion, but she has represented Britain and England overseas and is currently ranked no.1 in Britain in her age group. She has a very bright future ahead of her."
