With an army of 50 Year 7s, Plymouth College attacked Launceston and Restormel Castles recently in an effort to understand life in medieval England.
Investigation of the remains at Launceston highlighted the often dark and cold conditions in castles, but the magnificent views gave a clear indication of why a castle was built there.
At Restormel Castle, students made detailed plans initially for an attack, and then for the defence of the castle.
The sun shone and the students proved excellent ambassadors for Plymouth College - a fantastic start to the History course.
