The Kindergarten class at Plymouth College Preparatory School was visited recently by Mark and Andrew from the St John’s Ambulance Service.
The visit was part of ‘Knowledge and understanding of the world around us’, one of the six areas of learning for the Early Years.
After looking round the ambulance, the children got some hands-on experience when they helped to strap teaching assistant Miss Lewis onto a stretcher. Other ‘patients’ included Helena, who had her leg put in a splint, and Teddy, who was put into a full-body encasement and then inflated!
