Plymouth College Preparatory School pupils have raised £505.98 in sponsorship for Lorraine Walklin, who is taking part in the Everest Basecamp Challenge on 30th October in aid of St Luke's Hospice.
The children raised the money through collections at the end of performances of the junior play, 'Heroes', and by holding a Pirate Day, which involved Year 4 pupils performing plays they had written themselves, dressing up, taking part in fun activities and a cake sale.
A cheque was presented to Lorraine and Lorna Baker from St Luke's during school assembly.
