The U11 netball team at Plymouth College Preparatory School have won the Exeter School Tournament for the third year in a row.
In the pool stages the girls beat Queens Taunton, Exeter School, Stover and Exeter Cathedral. They then went on to beat West Buckland in the semi-final.
Playing Maynards in the final, the Exeter-based school was two goals up at half time. But with a superb effort from the Plymouth girls, they pulled the score back going 3-2 ahead with just minutes to go. However, Maynards managed to get one final goal in the net just before the whistle went leading to a 3-3 draw.
Throughout the tournament, Natasha Spiers and Lauren Reed did a superb job in defence making the opposition work really hard to get the ball to the goal circle. Harmony Rump, Naomi Ryan, Freya Soper and Libby Day were on top form sharing the shooting for Plymouth.
"The team were on fire!", said PE teacher, Sue Butcher. "They were full of determination and really deserved to win the tournament for a third time."
