
Three swimmers from Plymouth College have won gold medals for English Schools at the 39th WISE Home Nations International held in Glasgow.
Competing against the top swimmers from Wales, Scotland and Ireland, Joe Patching (16) picked up two gold medals for England winning the 200m IM (2:09.46) and 100m backstroke (59.06) in the intermediate event.
In the junior competition, Harry Ackland (14) won gold for England in the 100m breaststroke (1:08.75) while Jack Smith (14) claimed gold in the 100m backstroke (1:02.40).
All three boys are part of the Plymouth College/Plymouth Leander elite swimming programme.
