
Plymouth College's karting team have made it through to the national final of the British Schools Karting Championships. The team qualified after successfully competing in the South West competition.
Harry Cobbold, Wesley Foster and Toby Hall competed against the best school karting teams in the South West on a sunny afternoon at Thruxton karting track in Exeter.
"The South West event saw some intense racing, with close finishes and brilliant performances from everyone involved", said team member, Harry Cobbold. "We managed to secure four third positions and a second, racing predominately from the back and middle of the grids.
"We are delighted to have made it to the national final, particularly as this is the first season that we have competed."
Overall the team scored a total of 91 points, placing them fourth and securing the last place at the national final to be held at the Daytona Raceway, Milton Keynes, on the 1st April.
