Plymouth College Preparatory School pupils, Alasdair Lambie and Sean Rump, both aged 9, have been chosen from hundreds of children to perform in The King and I at the Theatre Royal next week.
Alasdair (right) and Sean (below) will be part of the chorus of children in this lavish, grand-scale production that features timeless classics such as 'Shall we Dance', 'I whistle a happy tune' and 'Getting to know you'.
This is not Alasdair's first time on the big stage. He has also appeared in Evita and played Tiny Tim opposite Tommy Steele's Scrooge. In August he will join the cast of Oliver! along with another Prep pupil, Olivia Tanner. Alasdair is a member of Plym Kids, where he takes part in speech, singing and dancing sessions.
"I am really looking forward to performing in The King and I" said Alasdair. "I particularly enjoy the singing but the dressing up is fun too".
