Ben and Sam Harvey have both qualified for the World Street Dancing Championships being held in Blackpool in August. Plymouth College pupil, Ben, 12, secured his spot in the World competition after his team, Atomic, took silver in the South West event.
Competing in the U18 intermediate category for the first time, Atomic produced an inspiring performance against 10 very experienced crews from around the country. Most of the other teams were 2-3 years older. They have also qualified for the European Championships in Paris at the end of April.
Ben's younger brother, Sam, 8, a pupil at Plymouth College Preparatory School, was part of the U10 team who were taking part for the first time and claimed third place, securing a place in the World Championships as well. Sam also competed in the U10 intermediate solo and duo categories and came a very respectable 5th place in both.
