The annual Geoff Fabian Memorial Trophy Rowing competition took place at Jupiter Point naval training centre. More than 30 cadets from the Plymouth College Combined Cadet Force (CCF) took part.
The weather and tides were just right to make the event a challenge for the rowers. The course was over 800m long and it seemed to the rowers that the race would never end. After a hard-fought competition between the Navy, Army and Airforce sections, the Navy cadets triumphed and took the trophy from the Army who won last year. In the cadets vs staff event the cadets won... enough said!
The event is held in memory of CCF Acting Contingent Commander, Commander Geoff Fabian (RN retired), who died in 2007.
