Plymouth College sixth former, Ellie Gates, has raised £500 for St Luke's Hospice by taking on a tandem sky dive challenge.
The Senior Prefect jumped out of a plane at 15,000 ft, freefalling at 120 miles per hour before opening her parachute and landing safely 4 minutes later.
"It was an exhilarating experience", said Ellie. "I've never done anything like this before but the thought of the money I was raising for St Luke's kept me focussed. Even though I was strapped to an instructor jumping out of the plane was a bit scary but there after I loved it. I would definitely do it again."
Back at school, Ellie shared her experience by giving a presentation to Year 7 and Year 8 pupils, where she showed them some of the amazing photographs taken during the sky dive.
