It has been a festive-packed couple of weeks at Plymouth College Preparatory School.
Years 2 and 6 showed off their skating skills at the outdoor ice rink in the city centre while back at school the Christmas Fair was a delight of stalls with lots of Christmas gifts for sale. A group of children went to the Theatre Royal to decorate a tree for the NSPCC and the choir sang carols at local care homes.
Reception classes went to the Pennywell Farm Nativity, all the infants went to the theatre to see 'The Little Red Hen' and Year 6 went to the opera!
The Prep School Carol Service at St Andrew's Church brought children, parents and friends together with the Early Years classes holding their nativity in the school's own chapel. Years 3 and 4 also held Christmas plays in the chapel and the Years 5/6 production of Diamonds was a lively show with lots of colourful costumes and many outstanding performances.
"We have had a lovely time celebrating Christmas," said Plymouth College Preparatory School Headmaster, Chris Gatherer. "Our children have been involved in lots of festive activities both at school and out in the wider community. In all cases they have behaved brilliantly and have been a real credit to the school - I am very proud of them all."
