Year 2 went to visit Greenbank Fire Station to find out more about the Fire Service and their fire engines.
The children were shown around the fire station and looked at all the different equipment and tools the firefighters use in the fire engines. They also got to see first-hand the uniform that firefighters have to wear including their breathing apparatus.
The children had great fun firing water with the hose across the car park and washing all the cars! While they were there, one of the fire engines even got called out to go and rescue someone stuck on a boat!
