Year 10 Geography iGCSE students headed to South Devon for their fieldwork day just before half term. Incredibly lucky with the weather, the glorious sunshine made a nice change from the rain of previous years!
With an initial stop in Exeter to conduct pedestrian and traffic counts, the team then headed to Dawlish Warren spit to investigate the coastal defences and measure the beach. Data collected will be the basis of the skills unit the students will be studying in Year 11.
There was also an opportunity to draw fieldsketches of Langstone Rock and recap some of the theory learnt in the Coasts unit earlier this year.
